Donovan McNabb missed Wednesday’s practice nursing a sore thumb, and a sprained ankle. The Eagles are taking a very cautious approach with McNabb, and of course wont tell if he will be able to play Sunday. He gave the media his usual politically correct answer:”(I want) to have all of my faculties together before I’m competitive again … You want to be smart, but you also want to go out there and play,” said McNabb.
That really tells us a lot Five.
If McNabb is unable to go, QB A.J. Feeley would get his first start as an Eagle since 2002. Feeley played fairly well in place of McNabb in last Sunday’s victory over Miami, but they have yet to win a game.
Conversely this weekends opponent is the undefeated New England Patriots, who have been blowing teams away. So much so, that the line for this game is at 24 in some sports books.
This game will not be easy no matter who plays QB.
