Well according to the Madden 08 Forecast the Eagles lose. I don’t hold a
ton any stock in this, but here is what Madden predicts will happen:
Seattle corner back Marcus Trufant intercepted a deflected pass from Philadelphia quarterback A.J. Feeley deep inside Seahawks’ territory, preserving a 23-21 Seattle victory in Philadelphia. Feeley led the Eagles to the Seattle 23-yard-line, but with 39 seconds remaining in the game and a new set of downs, Philadelphia attempted to move deeper into Seattle territory in hopes of setting up a potential game-winning field goal by kicker David Akers. Trufant’s heroics ended those plans, and gave Seattle its fourth win in a row.
Kicker Josh Brown accounted for all of Seattle’s scoring after halftime, kicking three field goals. The last conversion, a 21-yard kick with 4:47 left in regulation, put the Seahawks in front 23-21.
The Eagles were led by the 132 yard, two-touchdown performance by running back Brian Westbrook, who scored on runs of three and two yards respectively. Seattle countered with a 17-yard fumble return for a touchdown by defensive end Patrick Kerney in the first quarter, and a 5-yard touchdown dash by running back Shaun Alexander in the second quarter. The game’s only other touchdown came on a 14-yard pass from Feeley to wide receiver Hank Baskett early in the fourth quarter.
Soon enough Madden will probably rule the entire world. We’ll see how good they are tomorrow. Feeleydelphia won’t be happy with this result.
I don’t have a break down this week, but here is my prediction. Feeley has a good game, and the Eagles win 27-17.
