Giants Face Mission Impossible

Once the Iggles got eliminated from the playoffs, I figure out which teams I would hate to see win a Super Bowl the most, and root against them. This year having Dallas in the Playoffs made them public enemy number one. So going against everything that I usually stand for, I actually pulled for the G-Men. As we all know the Cowboys choked it up in the little game, but then the unthinkable occurred. The Giants actually won again, and are headed to Arizona for the Super Bowl.

Now I truly despise the stinkin Giants. The main reason is that I hate anybody or anything from New York. There is really nothing to like about a New Yorker. I hate everything from the whiny annoying accents, to those smug attytudes every New Yorker seems to have.

So when the Giants won the NFC Championship game, and I knew they were going to the Super Bowl it pissed me off. Those no good stinking Giants get to go to a Super Bowl with a bum team like that? In the words of T.O. ‘that’s really unfair’.

After thinking about this some more I realized that this is the best thing that could have possibly happen. The Giants are going to get creamed on Super Sunday for the whole world to see. Every stinkin Giants fan will be crying in their beer glass of wine. What could be better than that? Nothing!(except maybe an Iggles Super Bowl victory)

Some of you reading this may think how can he just rule the Giants out. Any given Sunday right? Wrong Giants fans. The New England Patriots are going to blow out your Giants guaranteed. In fact New York has no shot of winning this game. The Patriots are an unstoppable scoring machine, and will destroy the puny Giants.

I am so sure the Giants are going to get killed, I am throwing a “Giants Suck” Super Bowl party. Me and a bunch of friends will all sit and laugh hysterically as the Giants get picked apart by Tom Brady. Don’t forget poor Eli either. The other Manning is probably gonna fold under pressure like a cheap tent. Expect him to throw 2-3 bad interceptions.

This is going to be just like the Super Bowl against the Ravens. Another Giant disaster.

I hate the Giants too, but I also hate the patriots.  I look at it this way. If the giants lose, they still had an incredible season just getting there, but if the Pats lose their entire season is a disaster.  That’s why I’m pulling for the Giants to pull the upset.  The Giants already have superbowl wins; nobody’s gone 19-0.   Of course, my first preference would be for some blimp disaster, since I hate both teams.

By the way, let’s see how serious your "Guarantee" is. Since you’re so sure the Giants have no chance, would you be willing to post a picture of you wearing a Giants Jersey cheering if they do somehow manage to pull off the upset?  It’s not gonna happen, right? So there’s no reason not to accept the challenge…

Well only if i get something out of it. You gonna post a picture wearing an Eagles jersey if the Pats win?

No, but I’m not the one making a guarantee. You’re the one saying that the Giants have no chance at all. I just hope you’re willing to eat some crow if you end up being wrong.  I think you’re probably right, but it’s easy to talk big. You have to be willing to back your words up. The Giants have a chance, and I think their chances just went up.  Someone has obviously been pulling strings to get writers and Kurt Warner and the government to come forward on the eve of the superbowl with new revelations and accusations and such. The team that gets bad news or scandal on the eve of the superbowl often loses (Atlanta Falcons and Oakland Raiders against Tampa  both come to mind).  I think the Pats are disciplined enough to ignore this crap, but it has to be a little distracting.

Or this could piss the Pats off again like these allegations did earlier in the season when they decided to blow every team out.

Sorry, what was that? Every given sunday doesn’t count for this? I’ve got some fresh crow for you to eat.  Let’s see if you’re man enough to eat it.  How was your "Giants Suck" party?  Lots of fun I bet. Belichick is an arrogant prick and I’m so glad he lost by 3 points after passing up an easy field goal.

I was wrong. The Giants played great, and deserved to win. I wrote about it here>> http://insidetheiggles.com/2008/02/03/patriots-have-nfls-biggest-choke-job-ever/
