2008 Free Agents: Tight Ends

Tight end is a very interesting position for the Iggles this off season. The Eagles have placed the franchise tag on L.J. Smith, and that should almost rule out that they would sign another tight end in free agency. They also have last years 5th round pick Brent Celek who played well in limited action, and veteran Matt Schobel.

If the Birds do look to bring in another TE, I would expect that to be in the draft. This free agent class is not that great except for Dallas Clark, and you have to think the Colts will tag him. One interesting name is Ben Troupe. He is a very big talent who has underperformed somewhat. I really wonder where he will end up.
