Eagles GM Tom Heckert Gets Contract Extension

The Eagles continue to gain stability in the front office by extending their general manger’s contract until 2011. Heckert has been interviewing for other jobs the past few years, and the Birds wanted to ensure that he would not leave the nest.

The Eagles also made another front office move, by promoting Howie Roseman to Vice President of Player Personnel. Roseman will replace Jason Licht who was fired recently.

These moves won’t really change much, but instead keep the foundation in place. The Eagles have not won a Championship yet, but have been pretty successful since Heckert has come on board. I think it’s a good move, and hopefully he can help field a Championship team soon.
