Another Eagle In The Hall Of Fame

Posted by: Zach
Philadelphia Eagles

That is right folks, the Pro Football Hall Of Fame will be inducting another member from Philadelphia Eagles tonight. Everybody in Philadelphia should be happy for wide receiver Art Monk! While Monk played most of his career with the division rival Washington Redskins, he did actually play the final season of his career with the Eagles in 1995. Since you enter the Hall under every team that you played for during your career, technically the Eagles have just managed to get another one in!

If you go to profootballhalloffame.com, you will see a list of each teams members of the hall of fame. Scroll down to the Eagles, and there he is! Art Monk listed as an Eagle. :-P
Alright let me stop now. In all seriousness congratulations to the Redskins, and Art Monk. He had a great career, and retired with a lot of records. Tonights ceremony is long overdue for Art Monk.

It is a shame that Michael Irvin made it before he did.

No, it’s a shame that Michael Irvin made it at all.

    Very true Brian.

Thank you for the kind words on Monk. I do have to admit I was always sorry that we couldn’t treat him well enough to let him retire as a Redskin.  But our loss was your gain and I’m glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserved.

Your welcome. Don’t get used to it though! There is about to be an ITI vs Riggo’s Rag blog battle coming up soon!
