Dan from The Landry Hat took the time to answer five questions about his Cowboys for the game tonight. He is very delusional, and a big time homer so try not to laugh too much at his answers. All you need to know about Dan is that he thinks the old man Zach Thomas can effectively spy Brian Westbrook.
Q: What is the difference between this years Cowboys and the 2007 version?
A: There are several major difference. First, Julius Jones is gone, and in his place are two rookie running backs and Marion Barber. In one week, Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice showed they have the ability to excel. Secondly, Wade Phillips has one full year under his belt in Dallas. Although that may not mean much, he knows his team better. Finally, Adam Jones is a Cowboys, and coaches expect great things from him. All 13 players who made the Pro Bowl are back. Many of them have new longterm deals. The team chemistry is very strong. Plus, we have several new coordinators to shake things up.
Q: The last time these teams meet the Eagles won 10-6. What will be different tonight?
A: That game was a tough one to watch. Very slow and a lot of errors. The difference tonight will be stopping Brian Westbrook for a full four quarters. Last season, the Cowboys had a real difficult time starting games with a bang. They also ended games inconsistently. The Browns game showed none of that. If the Cowboys can come out strong with that powerful offense, and hold Westbrook back, this should be a relatively easy win.
Q: What players should the Eagles worry about the most?
A: You need to worry about whomever is running the ball. Whether it is Felix Jones or Marion Barber, those two are good. Felix is quick, and cuts. He is being compared already to your pal, Westbrook. If that’s the case, he could be the key to winning for Dallas. But you have two backs to worry about. Unlike the Eagles, we also have Terrell Owens, a top receiver with playmaking ability. He could draw double coverage, which means the Eagles better watch out for Jason Witten opening this game up. Witten could easily have 10 catches for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Q: You claim that the Cowboys are the best team in the NFL. Will they win a playoff game this year?
A: If the Cowboys do not win a playoff game this year you will see a whole sale coaching change, a bunch of fans completely distraught and ESPN making fun of the team for the rest of the off season. The Cowboys have to win a playoff game this year. In fact, they have to make it to the Super Bowl. No team with this much talent should lose important games like they have the past two years. There will be no exception this season.
Q: Who will win tonight, and what will be the score?
A: Dallas Cowboys 27 Eagles 17
