Freak - I think they need both. I think FB has been a huge problem, because neither Tony Hunt or Dan Klecko are very capable of playing the position. They both have huge holes in their game.

Hunt is really a RB who can run and catch the ball, but can't lead block or pass block to save his life. Klecko is really a defensive player who is a somewhat capable blocker, but is too big and slow to catch a pass, carry the football, or block down field.

I like this move, but I also agree they have a huge need at tight end as well. L.J. Smith has given this team next to nothing, Brent Celek is a poor blocker and still very young, and Matt Schobel is completely worthless. I am actually pretty pissed that the team cut J.R. Reed instead of Matt Schobel. Schobel can't block, and he drops easy passes. What is he here for?

Ian- what do you think is behind this fixation with FBs this year?? Is it strictly a blocking thing, considering their TE sucks ass?

In ten years of Reid, I have never heard them go on so much about a freaking FB. They run the West Coast offense for criminy sakes.

It is beyond me why they pick up an FB and not a decent TE.
