I voted yes only because they have to win it… I would not bet on it though, even if I was a gambling man.
December 4th, 2008 at 11:37 amI am a gambling man and I’ve learned my lesson not to bet on the Birds in ‘08.
December 4th, 2008 at 1:33 pmIm from Philly and i really hope the Eagles pull it off and destroy the Giants because we want them to be 11-2 not 12-1 and as for the Eagles i want them to be 7-5-1
December 4th, 2008 at 3:11 pmthe giants are on a roll, but with all the thing they have had to go through its a wonder it hasn’t taken its toll on them yet. The keyword is yet because i believe sooner or later these off field distractions may prove to be to much for them(just in time for the playoffs).
December 4th, 2008 at 9:00 pmVinny brings up an excellent point. There is no mentally tougher team than the Giants right now. But you have to wonder if they can hold up. Remember the Patriots last year. They had to deal with a lot and it finally bit them in the Super Bowl.
December 4th, 2008 at 9:29 pmIf there was ever a week to play the Giants, this is the one. Tons of distractions and no Plaxico Burress, whom Jim Johnson admitted he spent too much time game-planning for when they last met. I don’t know how they planned for him, maybe by dropping a safety over top of him, which would be silly, because everyone knows Plax never worries about a safety. I think the Eagles have a shot…the game should be a blast to watch.
December 4th, 2008 at 10:13 pmI have to say my new favorite name is “The Pattison Pundit.” I think the Pundit is on to something. The closer we edge toward game day, the more I’m thinkin’ the Birds have a real shot. We shall see.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:59 pmThe thing about the Giants though is their run game. I don’t see anyone stopping them, despite possible weaknesses at wide receiver and other distractions.
I predict no let down.
December 5th, 2008 at 10:18 pmYou’re right, EagleFreak. I have a hard time believing the Eagles (or anyone) can stop the Giants running game. But I also don’t think Big Blue will go 15-1. Somebody in the next four will take them down.
