Rumor Mill Workin’ Overtime
Free agency kicked-off about ten hours ago and still nothing concrete to report on the Eagles‘ front. Of course, this lack of activity means all we have to rely on is speculation. As we all know, that’s not very reliable. Here’s some of the whispers I’ve been hearing:
T.J. Houshmandzadeh sent a text message to a Philly radio station. One guess what it said.
The Eagles might be interested in another Bengal player. Two Bengals? Say it ain’t so.
Could Torry Holt be an option? One Rams website says yes.
ProFootballTalk.com is reporting Arizona defensive end Antonio Smith is on his way to Philly for a visit.
Correll Buckhalter may land a gig in Denver.
Take all these with a grain of salt. I would say Housh will find a team by the end of the day. By the way, how the hell do the Redskins do it? First they give DeAngelo Hall $54 million, then they turn around and sign Albert Haynesworth to a $100 million. Voodoo economics, I say.

With Haynesworth signing in DC we better find a way to keep Tra.

Thanks, fellas. I was praying that Cincy wouldn’t resign this piece of junk. Enjoy!
February 27th, 2009 at 8:23 amNot just Tra, but as many lineman as they can afford. Some reports say they already signed Stacy Andrews to play RT.
February 27th, 2009 at 9:04 am[...] Supposedly the Eagles are interested in the defensive end from the Cardinals. I have no idea why personally. It would be nice to add a defensive end, but if the Eagles were going to do that it should be someone like a Julius Peppers. I know that’s off the table, I just mean a stud defensive end. We went through this last year by paying way too much money for Chris Clemons. I’m not sure why the Birds, with all the other pressing needs they have to fill, would use up money on a defensive end that had 3.5 sacks last year. [...]
