Stacy Andrews To Visit Eagles

Posted by: Scott Tunstall

According to Dave Spadaro, Bengals free-agent tackle Stacy Andrews will be in town this afternoon. The reports are Andrews has already inked a deal and must pass a physical first. Andrews suffered a torn ACL late in the season, so I hope the guy is healthy. Apparently, the Birds were interested in Andrews last season before he was franchised.

If the Eagles sign him, the plan is to have him play right tackle and be a support system for the often scatter-brained Shawn Andrews. We shall see what happens later today.

I dunno.  I think Elton Brand is on my mind too much to like signing a guy coming off a major injury.  Its not as bad since they can just cut him after a year if he sucks.  Not resigning Tra worries me though and makes me think they are gonna bundle both #1’s in the draft to get one of those tackles.

I think Tra will be back. I agree about the Brand connection. The Birds have a good training staff, so I think they’ll make sure Stacy is ready to go.

If healthy Stacy is a great player. Just hope his rehab goes well!
