Tony Gonzalez Traded to Falcons

AUTHOR: Scott Tunstall | IN: Breaking News | COMMENTS: 2 Comments |

Damn! I really thought the Eagles might go for Gonzo, but alas, it’s not to be. FOX insider Jay Glazer has reported the Chiefs have dealt the future Hall of Fame tight end to the dirty South Falcons for a 2010 second-round pick. A 2010 second? Geesh. I would have made this deal in a second!

Great move for the Falcons. Matt Ryan’s fantasy stock just went WAY up. I assume this means Atlanta is out of the Brandon Pettigrew sweepstakes. Although, pairing ‘Grew and Gonzo would be one deadly combo.

At any rate, I’m not as enamored with Brandon as much as I was a couple months ago. It still remains to be seen whether Reid and Co. are interested. I still contend Reid will not take a tight end in the first round. Then again, he might not take a running back, either.

Sigh.

  1. Section118 says:

screw that… Eugene Bright! Harriton represent

  2. Good call, Section. We got Bright without having to give up a second-rounder. I say, advantage EAGLES!!!
