Eagles Draft Cornelius Ingram

Another quality, high value selection by the Eagles. Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram brings loads of potential to the table. Great athlete who can stretch the field. He was graded as a second or third round talent, so getting him in the 5th round is a low risk move. It’s one more weapon to add to the arsenal.

If Ingram is fully recovered from his knee injury and can learn a complex offense, he could be a very nice pick. I call this a wait and see selection. I doubt Ingram will contribute much as a rookie, but you never know. What do you guys think about the pick?

Do you like the Ingram pick?

I can tell you as a Gator fan that you got an awesome player. He is a fantastic athlete all around; he played on the Gator basketball team for the first two years of his career I believe. I know he was injured last year and there are some rumblings that he hasn’t healed but I honestly don’t think that is a problem.

He sat next to me at a Jags game. He was very kind to fans who wanted to get their pictures taken with him. He was soft spoken and polite to everyone who spoke to him. He seemed like a great guy.

Thanks for the scouting report, Jeanne. I only remember a little about him from 2007. I think they got great value for the fifth round. Hope he pans out. His potential is unlimited.

Great coverage in general, Scott. I visited a few other sites at FSB and yours was the best.

  4. Thanks, Freak. I appreciate the kind words. It was a long weekend, to say the least.

With everything that has happen in Cornelius life.I think is an excellent choice. Very talented kid from High School.

Cornelius Ingram is a great pick. He is a very humble young man and who has been taught to work hard for everything that he has. His injury only made him push harder toward his dreams than anything ever has. I promise you, we will not be disappointed in him.
