The consensus seems to be the Eagles had themselves an excellent draft weekend. Since everyone is spreading the love across the Interwebs, I decided to be unoriginal and do the same.
The fellas at Pro Football Weekly gushed over the selection of Jeremy Maclin.
Fox Sports tossed the Birds’ brain trust an A grade.
Rick Gosselin, from the Dallas Morning News, called their fifth round the best of the draft.
The Washington Post awarded the Eagles the top grade in the NFC East.

You guys have seen all the rest: CBS, Peter King, Todd McShay and various ESPN draftniks all said pretty much the same thing. A big thumbs up for the oft-maligned Front Office.
What does it all mean? Not much in April. How well the revamped secondary and offensive line comes together and how large an impact the ’09 rookie class makes remains to be seen. I will say this; I can’t remember a time when the Eagles have received this amount of positive praise from the national media, and more importantly, the fan base. Exciting times lie ahead.
