DeSean Jackson a Pro Bowler?

Posted by: Scott Tunstall

If you’ve read these pages at all over the last few months, you know I’m expecting big things from DeSean Jackson in 2009. I’ve been throwing around 1100-1200 yards and 6-8 touchdowns. I’m not sure those stats are good enough for a trip to the Pro Bowl, but one person in the know seems to believe DJax will be representing the NFC next February in Miami (no Hawaii in ‘10).

Daniel Jeremiah (@MoveTheSticks on Twitter) tweeted this little blurb today:

Bold prediction- DeSean Jackson will end up in the Pro Bowl this season. I expect Wes Welker type production.

So, who is Daniel Jeremiah you ask? A professional scout who has worked for the Ravens and Browns. Wow. Wes Welker? That means around 100 catches. Considering how much Reid distributes the ball, I’d be shocked if DeSean was able to post those kind of numbers.

Whatever the case, it’s nice to see a guy who evaluates talent for a living thinks so highly of DJax.

they need macclin in camp and on the field to get that done? he’ll draw heat from jax

Nah, Curtis and Avant are enough to keep defenses honest. Maclin will help, but I think Reid will work him into the offense slowly.

That being said, DJax making the Pro Bowl will be tough. Fitzy, Steve Smith, Boldin, Roddy White, Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings might have something to say about that.

hopefully roy williams rears his ugly head in there too. hahaha. yeah i like curtis this year in my fantasy league. he’s one of my sleeper wrs. can he stay healthy? if so he could make some noise in spot starts. all eyes will be on jax, and rightfully so. thats why i think i can sqeeze curtis in there with a late round pick?

I’ve done a few mock drafts already. Curtis isn’t going until round 10 or 12. That’s great value. I’m still a little worried about his groin problems, but he seems confident he’ll be okay.

maybe he should’ve went with ole donny there to vegast and had a little groin workout of his own???? looks like it was for don?
