If I wasn’t busy banging my head against the desk, I would be laughing at how the 2009 season is slowly and painfully being flushed down the toilet before our very eyes. According to PE.com, Cornelius Ingram has re-torn his left ACL; the same one he tore last August while at Florida. Gee. Think this is why the guy slipped into the fifth round?
This is beyond disappointing. Obviously for the Eagles, but more so for Ingram. His career is in jeopardy. It does make you wonder if the original surgery was botched. Very rarely does a player tear the same ACL, unless it wasn’t fully healed. I recall in the lead up to the draft, several personnel guys throughout the league had scratched Ingram off their draft boards because they were not certain he would recover from the injury. I guess they were right.
Needless to say, the wheels on this season are flying off rapidly. Two players are gone for the year (if not longer) and the offensive line is still in shambles. At this rate, there might not me much of a team left come opening day versus Carolina.
I cursed Ingram with my nickname post. I accept full responsibility.

Worst. Camp. Ever.
All the high hopes I had with the off-season moves are just about dashed.
Yeah, it’s not looking good. Before Bradley got hurt I was planning to write a post on why 2010, not this year, would be the Eagles year. It seems redundant at this point.
Well I guess he has a nickname now. He’ll forever be known as “IR”.
Yeah, Kevin, you hit the nail on the head. “IR” it is. Not what I had in mind.
