According to Fanhouse.com, Commish Rog Goodell is expected to lift the six-game suspension placed on Michael Vick. If this is true, Vick will be eligible when the Eagles travel to Carolina September 13th. In any case, a decision will be made this Saturday. It’s about damn time.
This comes as no surprise. I wrote over a week ago that Vick shouldn’t be punished further for his crimes. Goodell showed his hand once he announced Plaxico Burress would receive no additional suspension once he’s done serving time for shooting himself in the leg.
It appears Reid and Co. will get to reach into their bag of tricks sooner rather than later. By the way, if Vick is eligible week 1, we can say bye, bye to A.J. Feeley. Look for him to be dealt by next week.
