A Jon Runyan Sighting in Philly

According to Jeff McLane via his Twitter, big Jon Runyan was at the NovaCare Complex this morning.

Runyan was out on the field with Reid, Castillo and Heckert, who had no comment.

Interesting. Runyan also paid a visit to the Chiefs earlier this week. Is he ready to play? Tough to say. If he is, he would give the Eagles some needed experience behind Shawn Andrews. Stay tuned.

Update: The Big Kid did not practice today and was seen “moving around slowly.” A show of hands: Who is shocked by this news? Andrews=Unreliable.

How the hell do you know if he works his ass off? Do you hang out with him during the offseason? Do you attend his personal workouts? You just made a large assumption about a guy who is on record as saying he's not all that interested in playing football. He said it, not me. He's battled depression which causes you to do nothing but crawl into a ball and hide from the world. Now he has a nagging back injury that doesn't seem to be getting better. You can be in his corner, but stop making excuses for him. That's nonsense.

he missed his rookie year when somebody fell on his leg and broke his ankle. then he missed last year with a back injury. in between there he had 3 great seasons of playing at an all pro level.

now he is coming off that back injury from last year, has a flare up, and is gonna miss 1 game so far. so that makes him injury prone or unreliable? thats nonsense. the guy is a flat out great offensive lineman who works his ass off to be one of the best, and is just dealing with an injury. just like herremans is, and just like many nfl players do.

Andrews has more than a hurt back. He has a history of weird behavior. He's not starting, again, on Sunday. Last time I checked Herremans didn't miss a combined two seasons due to injuries. And Herremans will be back in a few weeks. When will Shawn be back? Who the hell knows? I'm not mad at the guy, I'm frustrated with him because every time we get our hopes up, he dashes them. Sorry, HE IS UNRELIABLE. Just like LJ Smith. Look what happened to him.

He's got a hurt back. Why be mad at a guy for being injured? Todd Herremans is also hurt. Is he not reliable now? Injuries are part of the game.

Andrews back was hurting some. That is why he did not practice.

How is he not reliable? Also Harry cutting him, and signing a washed up Jon Runyan is a moronic idea. Shawn Andrews is one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL, and he has many great years ahead of him.

How is he not reliable??? Are you serious? Uh, let's see. After showing up late to the 2008 training camp due to depression, he started just two games before injuring his back.

Then he sat out all of the 2009 training camp because of the back that was supposed to be fixed. Now, after making it through only four days of practice, he's hurt again, and in all likelihood won't play Sunday. Yeah, he's the picture of reliability. He's one of the best offensive lineman when he actually plays, which hasn't been much the last two years.
