REPORT: Eagles To Sign Jeff Garcia

According to Sal Pal on 950 ESPN, the Eagles will sign quarterback Jeff Garcia to help shore up a position made cloudy by the fractured rib suffered by McNabb in yesterday’s win versus the Panthers.

It’s deja vu all over again. With AJ Feeley headed to Carolina, Garcia was the only logical candidate available.

Update: It’s a one-year deal. Don’t look for Garcia to start anytime soon. Reid believes in Kolb and will give him his shot. Providing Don can return in a few weeks, I doubt Garcia’s stay will be long.

imagine the possibilities with Mcnabb, Vick, and Garcia as your quarterbacks! no team would ever want to knock out our QB. they'd be afraid of the next guy...
Put Kolb on the practice squad.
And your boy Shawn Andrews to IR now.. nice conversation we had the other day about it, and the Egles finally did something about it. I say he's off the team at the end of the year.
What number will Garcia take? Vick already took 7....

I agree with you, Garcia's stay likely won't be long.

But I keep wishing for situations in which he will stay over Kolb.

That said, I am looking forward to Kolb getting his chance so I will know one way or the other.
