Eagles Activate Vick, Waive Baskett

Posted by: Scott Tunstall

According to FOX NFL Insider Jay Glazer, the Eagles have activated Michael Vick and waived Hank Baskett. Hank was rumored to be on the block since yesterday. Now he’s a goner.

I liked Hank, but the shaky quarterback situation is forcing the Birds to juggle knives and bowling balls at this point. Stay tuned for more.

They don’t have a guy that can go up and get a jump ball in the end zone anymore but they have so much other talent at wide receiver. Guess it just came down to a numbers game.

Thing is, they never threw the fade much anyway, and Hank wasn’t that great at it. Like the one he dropped versus Jacksonville in preseason.

If it wasn’t for Reggie Brown’s $3 million plus cap hit, he would have been a goner. Oh well, Hank will find work, maybe in Minnesota.

Why is Reggie Brown still on this football team?
