Eagles-Chiefs Prediction

No poetry or rap this week. Instead, I’ll go with a conventional, boring prediction. Games like this worry me. An 0-2 team on the road getting no love. Not to mention Reid’s 1-3 record in pre-bye week games over the last four years. Gulp. It would be grand if the Chiefs rolled over for the Eagles, but that ain’t gonna happen.
The Birds are beat up on offense, but I think the defense will play inspired ball after being embarrassed last week. Trent Cole and company will get after Matt Cassel early. Kolb will do enough through the air to keep them on top. It will be a bit ugly, but gang green wins.
Eagles 23, Chiefs 10
The Eagles have shown us two completely different defenses. We need to see which defense we can expect to see on a regular basis. I don’t need to see the type of performance we saw against Carolina every week but they can’t play nearly as poorly as they did last week. Maybe we can find a happy medium?
