Omar Gaither Out For Season

Posted by: Scott Tunstall

More bad news for the Eagles. At his weekly presser, Andy Reid revealed kinda sorta starting middle linebacker Omar Gaither has a Lis Franc sprain that will require surgery, thus ending his 2009 season.

And the hits keep coming! First Stew, now Omar. Trotter is old and slow, which we already knew, so that leaves newly acquired Will Witherspoon to man the middle. That is until he gets hurt.

In other boo boo news, Victor Abiamiri will miss the Monday nighter with a sprained knee and Kevin Curtis is seeking the dreaded “second opinion” on his swollen knee. Don’t count on either of these two gents to contribute much of anything the rest of the way. Vic is turning into another Derrick Burgess; he has talent, but just can’t stay healthy. Curtis is not long for Philly. No way he returns in 2010.
