Eagles-Cowboys Prediction
Nothing beats Cowboys week. The pageantry. The anticipation. The deep-seeded hatred. Ah, yes, it really is a special, special time of year. No matter the outcome, there’s always something to talk about.
A James Willis interception. Tom Hutton botching a hold. Pickle juice. Brian Westbrook kneeling at the one-yard line. DeSean’s goal line blunder on Monday night. Memories to last a life time.
The latest chapter features two evenly matched teams. Tony Romo has been money in November, winning twelve in a row. The Eagles appear to have buried the shame of the Raiders loss and got their act together.
The entire Cowboys franchise would like to avenge last December’s 44-6 thrashing, which eliminated them from the post-season. It was an embarrassing performance to say the least.
There are lots of juicy matchups to dissect: Eagles receivers versus Cowboys cornerbacks. Jason Witten versus Eagles backers/safeties. Eagles pass rush versus Romo. McNabb versus Cowboys pass rush.
Will Westbrook play? How will Moise Fokou do in place of Chris Gocong? Can a frenzied primetime Philly crowd rattle Romo? Which team will run the ball better? I could go on and on, but you get the point.
I keep reading and hearing predictions for another Birds blowout. I’m not seeing it. I think the ‘Boys will be ready to tangle in this one. I think the Eagles defense will be the difference. They are tied for second in the league with 23 sacks. Their 14 interceptions are third best. A key pick or forced fumble will decide the outcome.
Eagles 31, Cowboys 27

Just watched all youtube clips related to 44-6. it still boggles my mind what happened that day. how can a professional team come out so flat for what was basically a playoff game? every single player looked awful that day. i thought that this game would be a high scoring shoot-out but now i’m becoming more optimistic that we can shut their defense down completely.
now i realize that 44-6 was a special game and i’m not expecting that again. i also have a ton of respect (just respect… thats it) for witten and every time we play him i think he could explode. they have made some changes to the cowboys but those are just some faces in the crowd. the cowboy culture is definitely still there and the players are beating up on each other already. if this is how they play big games, we should be able to kick their asses.
start physical, stay physical. make romo throw his little pop-fly panic passes and collapse in the shower. Eagles 34, Cowgirls 14
