Westbrook Out Again

Posted by: Scott Tunstall

I guess that precautionary rest for Brian Westbrook on Friday was a little more serious than Andy Reid let on. According to multiple sources, Westy will not be available for tonight’s crucial showdown with the Cowboys.

Since the Eagles are learning how to play without their once great playmaker, this is kind of ho-hum news. I’d rather have #36 out there, but concussions are a big deal and should never be taken lightly. If he’s not ready to go, then they are doing the right thing by sitting him.

So, another Sunday and no Westbrook. Unfortunately, par for the course in 2009.

i never thought we’d have an offense that wasn’t dependent on westbrook so soon. i give the eagles a lot of credit

I’m hoping for a big day from Weaver (and McCoy, obviously)!

I am physically ill from the Eagles loss today. Why can’t we win one single close game? I know the reffs were against us, but this should have been our game. I am done with the Eagles this season. We lose to the Raiders and now the Cowboys. No excuses. Our team just strait up sucks.
