I like your "game of inches" quote. It sounds very cliche but it really came true last night (more than once). Again, the Birds are leaving us scratching our heads trying to figure out what kind of team they really are. I can't stand the inconsistency.

One thing I noted through the third quarter was the lack of motion with DeSean through the backfield. He's an established threat to take the ball down the field off the handoff. You have to at least make the defense think about that.

I was disappointed with the official's decision on the challenge [even if it wasn't a first down, the spot wasn't accurate], but you have to rebound after that and get a stop. Sheldon has to keep his wits about him on that play.

Donovan looked so-so tonight. Missed some easy ones, threaded a needle or two (JASON AVANT! helped him out with a beautiful catch), missed an opportunity to make a play with his feet... hoping for a major recovery next week.

Oh, and Brent Celek continues to be my favorite Eagles player. Not only that, but he's got a little Captain in 'im. I'm disappointed he couldn't come up with that catch where Donovan split the defenders, but he looked great with the ball in his hands otherwise.
