Cheesesteak of the Week
After a very blah performance by the Eagles on Sunday night, the list of candidates deserving of a savory cheesesteak was small. In fact, I could only muster three players and one of those was David Akers. Not good.
Nevertheless, I nabbed a guy who came to play and held up his end of the deal. He was by no means dominant, but in my mind he was the diamond in a box of rocks. And the winner is…
LeSean McCoy

Shady totaled 115 yards on 18 touches and ran hard all game long. It looks like he’s turning a corner in his decision making. That play where he spun out of a tackle in the backfield and scampered right for a big gain was impressive. He’s strong and possesses excellent vision.
He still needs to trust his blocking (when it’s there) and the ball must be secured against his body, but he’s improving each week. It’s a good thing too, because with Westy’s immediate and future availability in serious doubt, McCoy will probably be relied on to carry the load the rest of the way.
