So, you're comparing Drew Brees to Ben Affleck? Ridiculous. Brees has been a great QB for the last five years. The Saints have been a joke franchise for thirty years. Now they're legit, thanks to Brees. If that doesn't make him an MVP, I dunno what does.

how does that make any sense? drew brees deserves the award more because it is more surprising how well he is doing? that's like saying that they should give an academy award to say ben affleck instead of johnny depp, even though depp was better, only because we expect depp to be good in all his movies. the award should go to the player who means the most to their team regardless of how high their expectations are.

I would say Brees is more worthy only because it's a given how much Peyton means to the Colts. That's not to take anything away from him, but you could probably hand him the MVP every year since he's so consistently dominant.

What the Saints are doing is much more surprising than the Colts. Before the season, I doubt anyone would have believed New Orleans would be 13-0. Obviously, their defense has something to do with it, but if you're gonna give the award to another QB, I say Brees is the man.
