‘Tis the season for snow covered fields and bitter cold temperatures. Who knows what the playing surface will look like at 4:15pm after the blizzard of ’09 is done smacking the Northeast. Could be fine, or it could be a slippery mess.
Whatever the case, the Eagles have to be sharp to put away a feisty Niners team. Unless there are gusting winds, the Birds will continue to chuck it 60% or more. Despite a solid effort versus the vaunted Cardinals last Monday night, the San Fran secondary is vulnerable to big plays.
Sounds like a perfect recipe for DeSean Jackson, but for some strange reason I think this will be a Shady/Weaver type game. I also believe a proud McDermott defense will bounce back strong after last week’s horrid showing. Frank Gore is a chore to handle and Vernon Davis has been a beast. It won’t matter.
Eagles D controls this one. McNabb will be efficient.
