The Eagles really seem to like players with ripped up knees. As if Stacy Andrews wasn’t a big enough flop last year in free agency, the Birds are about to entertain the idea of bringing in a guy with not one, but two serious knee injuries. His name is Marlin Jackson, late of the Colts.
If he’s still capable of running, Jackson could play either cornerback or free safety, or both. Or he could spend the 2010 season in the training room with giant ice packs strapped to his ailing knees.
Whether Jackson is signed or not, it’s pretty clear that Reid and Co. are looking for help in the secondary.
And no, I didn’t want Aaron Kampman and his shredded ACL either. The Jaguars can have him.
