Eagles On The Block

The Eagles love to wheel ‘n’ deal during draft weekend. Expect at least a couple moves at some point once things get rolling. With Howie Roseman bringing an aggressive approach to his first draft as GM, some players as well as picks could be dealt.

Which vets are most likely to be sent packing? Here are four names to consider.

Juqua Parker – Darryl Tapp’s arrival and the possibility of trading up to land someone like Derrick Morgan makes Parker expendable. He turns 32 in May. Howie hates old guys. Bye, bye JP.

Mike Patterson – I like Mike. He plays hard and doesn’t make waves. However, he’s not a pocket-collapser. 11 sacks in five seasons is not impressive.

Trevor Laws – Dude has done nada in two years. He lacks the power needed to shed blocks inside and gets blown up too easily. I can’t imagine receiving much more than a late pick for him, but he could be a throw away player in a bigger deal.

Quintin Demps – Like Laws, he doesn’t represent much value, but a team in need of a decent kick returner and a reserve safety might be interested. With Macho, Marlin and a draftee, Demps is the odd man out.
