Charles Scott in the Fold

The first member of the 2010 Eagles draft class has agreed to terms. LSU running back and sixth-round pick Charles Scott inked a four-year deal according to a team announcement made this morning.

Scott is a big bruising back who is expected to compete for the third halfback spot behind Shady and Mike Bell. At the very least, should he make the team, look for him to get some looks as a short yardage and goal line specialist. I wouldn’t be surprised if it took all three runners to replace what Brian Westbrook did in his prime.

One down, twelve draftees to go. A few more should start filtering in over the next couple weeks.
