Eagles Add Coleman; Tweakfest

I’d like to welcome a new writer to Inside the Iggles. His name is Adam MacDonald and he hails from Nova Scotia, Canada. Birds fans from our neighbors to the North? Who knew? It’s nice to have a new voice at ITI, especially for days when I’m lazy and don’t feel like blogging. Anyway, here’s Adam’s first post.

Seventh-round pick S Kurt Coleman is the second of the Eagles 2010 draft class to sign. Sirius NFL Radio Host Adam Caplan tweeted that, according to a league source, he was signed to a 4-year deal. Financial terms of the contract are currently unknown. Although it is not expected he will make a big contribution in his first year, he may be a solid addition to our special teams.

A few Eagles seemed to have gotten banged up in the past few days, although none are near as serious as Marlin Jackson. Todd Heremans flew to Charlotte today to see a foot specialist. LeSean McCoy has a bit of tweaked ankle and Fenuki Tupou has a pectoral injury. Stew Bradley also tweaked his calf.

On a more hilarious note, Shawn Andrews has been drafted into the UFL. He was a first pick… in the third-round. The Omaha Nighthawks were the team that picked him up, if anyone cares. Which I doubt they do.
