The Eagles have signed wide receiver Riley Cooper, a fifth round draft pick out of the University of Florida to a four-year contract. Philadelphia has now signed 11 of its 13 draft picks, with first round selection Brandon Graham (DE) and second round pick Nate Allen (S) remaining unsigned. Rookies are scheduled to begin training camp in two weeks on July 27th.
Cooper is a 6’3”, 222 pound receiver who was selected 159th overall by the Eagles in the draft. Cooper caught 51 passes for a team-leading 961 yards and nine touchdowns as a Gator last year. In his Florida career, Cooper had 81 receptions for 1,496 yards and 18 touchdowns. Cooper was a second-team All-SEC selection in 2009 as a senior.
Cooper was also selected twice in the Major League Baseball draft – once by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2006 and once by the Texas Rangers in 2009. Cooper joins fellow Gator Cornelius Ingram on the Philadelphia roster and becomes the 10th wide receiver under contract with the Eagles.
Cooper is expected to compete to be in the wide receiver rotation behind DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant. Hank Baskett and Jordan Norwood are among his top competition.

Cooper should/will be the 4th WR on this team by mid to late season.. unless Hank really shows that this team needs him (which i doubt unless Kendra makes another movie and the Eagles can somehow market it) i expect Coop to take his spot
