The Eagles traded linebacker Joe Mays to Denver in exchange for running back J.J. Arrington according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Mays was one of nine linebackers on the Philadelphia roster and had 18 tackles in 11 games last year. Mays is entering his third season in the NFL.
Arrington has rushed for 654 yards on 183 carries during his four year career. The California product also has 91 career receptions for 693 yards. The 5’9, 212 pound running back spent the last four seasons with Arizona before signing with Denver in the offseason.
Arrington was released on May 27, 2009 after failing his physical, but resigned on March 4, 2010. Arrington joins LeSean McCoy, Mike Bell, Eldra Buckley and Charles Scott in the backfield.
