Vick Can’t Leave the State
There’s a new report coming out this morning that, according to Michael Vick’s “crisis manager”, he’s not allowed to leave the state. This is all part of the aftermath of a shooting outside Vick’s birthday party in Virginia. It doesn’t really come as much surprise that something like this is happening though, as the victim of the shooting was a former co-defendant in Vick’s dog fighting case. Part of Vick’s probation was that he is not supposed associate with these people. It’s really unclear how this will affect his traveling with the Eagles in the up coming season, but my [...]
“26-27-60 Rule” Predicts Success for Kolb
Former Lead Blogger Scott Tunstall, who has moved on to other projects here at the Fansided Network, sent me this really great article in Sports Illustrated. The article discusses a “rule” of sorts, simply dubbed the 26-27-60 Rule. If this so-called Rule stands up, Kevin Kolb is expected to have a successful season. I know you’re scratching your head trying to figure out what the hell this rule is so I’ll go ahead and explain it. This rule states that if a quarter back scores over 26 on the Wonderlic test, starts 27 games in his college career, and completes [...]
NFC East All-Star Team Vote: QB
We’re still building our NFC East All-Star team and once again, we need your help. Head over to Riggo’s Rag to THIS POST to vote for who you think is the best QB in the NFC East. Unfortunately, Kevin Kolb is not on the list because we’re sticking with the proven guys who started last season. Do you still love McNabb? Do you think Eli having the lone Super Bowl win puts him at the top? Or do you think he’s overrated? Is Tony Romo finally going to bring the Boys back to the Super Bowl? Let us know what [...]
Former NFL Scout Thinks Big Things for Kolb
It turns out that (some of) us Eagles fans aren’t the only people with faith in Kevin Kolb next season. Playmaker Mobile has released an interview with former NFL Super Bowl-winning scout Dave Razzano. Mr. Razzano has been part of organizations that have gone to 5 Super Bowls, and won 3 of them. He’s worked for NFL greats like Dick Vermeil and Bill Walsh. Here’s a snippet of the comments he made about Kolb: I think he might struggle a little early as he gets used to receivers and all, but I think by the end of the year he [...]
UPDATE: The Eagles front office is denying these reports. That’s what I get for trying to break the story early. According to an Associated Press source, the Eagles are “strongly considering” cutting Michael Vick from their roster. The source says that the Eagles might cut him no matter what the legal ramifications are of the situation for Vick. He is due to earn $5.2 million this season. This is all the fallout of the birthday situation that happened earlier in the week, where one of Vick’s former dog fighting associate was shot outside the restaurant where Vick was celebrating. Vick [...]
NFC East Vote: DE and TE
I’d like to begin by wishing any fellow Canucks out there a Happy Canada Day! Hope you’re enjoying the wonderful weather and a few cold ones as well. If you didn’t get a chance to read my last post, the folks here at Fansided are collaborating to make All-Star teams for each NFL division that will eventually compete head to head to decide who is the best division overall. We also told you that if there was any positions we couldn’t decide on our own that we would put it to vote. Well it didn’t take long for this to [...]
