Eagles quarterbacks Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick found out how much playing time they'll get tomorrow night.

Eagles head coach Andy Reid says that starting quarterback Kevin Kolb will play about a quarter in Philadelphia’s first preseason game tomorrow night. By comparison, in the first preseason game last year Donovan McNabb played until just over five minutes remained in the second quarter, which amounted to five offensive series.

Reid also said that Michael Vick will play the second quarter and half of the third quarter and Mike Kafka will play the rest of the game. The quarterback switches should also coincide with moves to the second and third strong across the board.

Kolb said they won’t worry too much about the Jaguars, “Well we want to get some production too, you know we want to be sharp and just see what we’ve got. This is more about us than it is about them, you know we want to go out there and execute.”

The starting quarterback did admit that this preseason game will be a bit different, given that Jacksonville is on the regular season schedule in Week 3.  ”We’re looking down the road to see what’s going to come of them. So you obviously look at it a little bit differently than what you would if it was just somebody you weren’t going to play,” said Kolb.

Notes

Michael Vick may also appear in the game at times with the starters. “We do have some plays in for him, so there’s a chance he’s in with the first team. His concentrated period of time, though, is after Kevin is done,” said Reid.

Chad Hall will handle punt returns, while Quintin Demps will return kicks.  Reid said he is not necessarily looking to keep DeSean Jackson off of punt returns, but wants to evaluate Chad Hall in the role.

Cornelius Ingram will see his first game action in 955 days (more than 2 years and 7 months).  Ingram last played in a real game on January 1, 2008 when his Florida Gators lost to Michigan in the Capital One Bowl.  Ingram missed his entire senior season with an ACL injury, then re-injured the same ACL and missed all of last season.

Injury Report

Victor Abiamiri, Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson are on the physically unable to perform list and will not play.

J.J. Arrington (foot), Hank Baskett (hyperextended knee), Mike Bell (hamstring), Nick Cole (knee), Antonio Dixon (concussion), Macho Harris (hamstring) and Fenuki Topou (ankle) will not play tomorrow night.
