The Colts lead the Eagles 17-16 at halftime, having outscored the Eagles 17-3 in the second quarter. The game turned on a personal foul on Quintin Mikell when he and Kurt Coleman sandwiched Austin Collie midair and jarred the ball lose. Collie was ruled a defenseless receiver on a call that infuriated the Eagles coaches and players, and the penalty gave the Colts a key first down late in the half. Collie did not move before being taken off the field on a stretcher, with his arms and legs strapped down.
Javarris James punched it in from 6 yards out to cut the Colts deficit to 16-14, and after a three and out they got the ball back with 1:04 left near midfield. Manning orchestrated a field goal drive, moving the ball to the Eagles 19-yardline. Adam Vinatieri hit a 37-yard field goal with 3 seconds left to put the Colts on top.
The Colts rally came after the Eagles pulled out to a 13-0 lead in which they settled for David Akers field goals of 22 and 21 yards after stalling out deep in the red zone. DeSean Jackson caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Michael Vick on the Eagles’ first drive of the game, set up by a 62-yard run by LeSean McCoy.
Down 13-0, the Colts scored a touchdown early in the second quarter on a 3-yard pass from Manning to Jacob Tamme. Akers connected on a 31-yard field goal a few moments later, but Indianapolis scored the last 10 points of the half.
Jackson has 4 catches for 77 yards and a touchdown, while Vick is 6-of-12 for 123 yards and a touchdown. Vick has also run four times for 29 yards. LeSean McCoy has six carries for 69 yards, but all but seven of those yards came on his first carry of the game.
Peyton Manning, meanwhile, is 18-of-25 for 171 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Jacob Tamme has 7 catches for 53 yards and a touchdown while Reggie Wayne has 7 catches for 52 yards.
