“We were limited quite a bit because we weren’t going to play certain guys, but we had those plays in all week,” Kolb said. “We’d have liked to have some more stuff, especially since I think we got quite a few plays off tonight, so we were repeating a lot, which we normally don’t do.

“I mean, there were obviously some restrictions there, but we still had plenty of opportunities to win the game.”

Instead, it was Stephen McGee completing 11-27 passes for 127 yards and the game-winning touchdown, leaving the Cowboys 6-10 at the end of the season.  Dallas went 5-3 under interim head coach Jason Garrett.

While the Birds ended their second regular season in a row with a loss to the Cowboys, they’ll be back in action next Sunday hosting a playoff game for the first time in more than four years.  The Eagles beat the Giants 23-20 on January 7, 2007 before losing in New Orleans the following week. Philadelphia and Green Bay face off at 4:30 p.m. from Lincoln Financial Field next Sunday.
