The Eagles have gone to training camp and so has ITI. After a huge start to free agency that saw the Eagles land the biggest fish in the pond in Nnamdi Asomugha. They also added former Titans QB Vince Young. The team now heads to training camp and we wanted to give you all a heads up that ITI editor Keith and staff writer Mike will be covering all the action today.     After listening to Andy Reid’s short press conference and Howie Roseman’s dodgy answers to questions about retaining all three top-tier corners for the 2011 season, it doesn’t seem likely that Asante Samuel will ever play another game in Eagle green. Both said “it’s a good situation to be in” and “we’ll see how things go.” By now, we all now what that means.

  The Philadelphia Eagles may have just put together the most dominating group of cornerbacks in the history of the league.

  According to a report by NFL Network analyst Albert Breer, former Titans QB Vince Young has come to terms with the Eagles on a one year deal.

  After months of speculation, the deal is finally done. Kevin Kolb has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd round draft pick. The deal is reportedly for five years and something like $60 million, with 22 mil guaranteed. Both sides have reason to be happy here.

  Former Eagle DE Jason Babin is back in the fold, reuniting with D-line coach Jim Washburn after recording just under 13 sacks last season en route to his first Pro Bowl with the Titans.

  All is well in Eagles land. Well…mostly all is well. Free agency is moving quickly, Kolb will be traded and we’ll have another good cornerback by the end of the week, the players are at Lehigh, and the rumors are swirling. Everything seems back to normal, well except for one little problem. Well, a little man who’s absence in training camp is a huge problem. DeSean Jackson was a no-show at training camp yesterday, was a no-show again today, and according to Michael Vick it might stay this way for a while.

  According to multiple sources, Desean Jackson has no plans to attend Eagles training camp at Lehigh on Wednesday, and may possibly miss Thursday as well. Hopefully this won’t turn into a holdout, as the star wideout is still looking for a better deal entering the final year of his rookie contract with a salary of just over $500,000. Santonio Holmes huge, multi-million dollar contract with the Jets this morning might be a motivating factor, and will surely drive up the price for one of the most dangerous men in football.     As the ending of this dreaded lockout has arrived, we can get to the off season, which should last about, hmmmm….5 seconds. There will be just enough time to get re-signing key players, signing free agents and rookies, learn Andy Reid’s enormous playbook, fill out depth charts, and beat the crap out of each other in hot and sweaty Lehigh before the first preseason game against the Ravens.     In a wild first day of free agent signings and firings, the Eagles decided to part ways with veteran safety Quintin Mikell – who as expected has already been signed by another organization (the Rams) with a long-term deal – and have reportedly decided NOT to resign any of their pending free agents, which would include David Akers, Stewart Bradley, Sav Rocco, and Jerome Harrison. This raises some serious questions along the depth chart, tops among them being who will start at middle linebacker.
