Breer: Vince Young Reaches 1-Year Deal With Eagles

According to a report by NFL Network analyst Albert Breer, former Titans QB Vince Young has come to terms with the Eagles on a one year deal.

We’ll get more details about it in during a formal announcement in the morning, but more than one reporter has seen this coming a long way off.

Young finished his five-year career in Tennessee with a 30-18 record, but his last appearance wasn’t pretty. He was placed on injured reserve for a “thumb injury” and essentially banned from team facilities for throwing his shoulder pads into the stands and cursing off Jeff Fischer in front of the team.

Andy Reid and his staff, however, have shown a masterful ability to transform quarterbacks with questionable histories or little experience into hot commodities and future trade bait. Let’s hope Young takes this chance seriously and makes the most of his relationship with Mike Vick and the Eagles organization.
