It’s easy to do, just count to three and do a switch-a-roo!
That got weird, right?
Anyway, the Eagles have shuffled their starting linebackers. Casey Matthews, after struggling through the season’s first two games, has been moved to the starting weakside linebacker spot. Jamar Chaney will take over, and Moises Fokou will man the strong-side. So much for Matthews’ quick maturation as the quarterback of a defensive unit on a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
Clearly, Chaney is best suited to play in the middle, but the Eagles still have serious concerns at linebacker. Just because you change around the order of ingredients doesn’t necessarily mean the finished product is going to taste (or, in this case, play) any better. Stay tuned, friends.
