Let the good times roll, baby.
Jay Glazer of FOX reports that an MRI has revealed that Trent Cole’s potential season-ending calf injury suffered during yesterday’s loss to the 49ers is only a grade two calf strain.
That’s a relief. Sort of.
While the injury won’t put Cole’s season in jeopardy, it is unlikely that he will return to action until November. The Eagles’ defense, a unit in total disarray, can ill afford to lose Cole for an extended period of time. At this point, it’s fair to wonder if the games will even hold meaning by the time he returns to the lineup.
Don’t worry–Juan Castillo will use his experience to plug the hole left by Cole’s absence. I’m sure of it.
