Breakdown of Broncos-Patriots

The second game on Saturday is between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots at 8:00pm on CBS.

The power invested in Tebow won't be enough.

The last time these two teams matched up, the Patriots were able to contain Tim Tebow and all the spirits he has on his side. That game marked the beginning of a bit of a downfall for Tebow and the Broncos as Tebow couldn’t provide his well-known magic. The Patriots have the second worst defense in the NFL, but their offense is very potent. Tom Brady and friends put up 41 on this Bronco defense on that December 18th game. The Broncos’s defense gave up 23 points to a banged up Steeler offense last week in their overtime win in the wild card round.

Bottom line: I expect the Patriots to contain Tebow and his mighty powers. Also, Brady will eat up this weak Bronco defense. I look for a closer game than their last meeting, but a victory for the Patriots nonetheless.

Patriots 31
Broncos 21
