The Giants think they can upset them, but the Packers are too lethal.

Breakdown of Giants-Packers

The second game on Sunday and the last game of the divisional round of the 2011-12 playoffs is a matchup of the New York Giants at the Green Bay Packers at 4:30pm on FOX.

The Packers had a great season. Aaron Rodgers was fantastic and the team as a whole achieved the record of 15-1. Their lone loss was to the Chiefs. Ryan Grant really gives them a good running attack. While Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings score the touchdowns in the air. Green Bay is the defending Super Bowl champions and they are the #1 seed in the NFC this postseason. This team is very fundamentally sound and really know how to take care of their opponents. The Giants are looking to make an improbable playoff run like they did back in 2007, when they won the Lombardi Trophy. This team was a little banged up during most of the regular season. Now they are back to full strength and they believe they can knock off any team. Victor Cruz has really emerged as a great weapon for Eli Manning. If they can utilize their air attack well and couple that with Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs rushing the ball, New York might be able to give the Pack a run.

Bottom Line: I believe the Packers are the team to beat in this year’s playoffs as, I predict that they will make it back to the Super Bowl and win again. This game should be similar to their regular season match up, which was very close and high scoring. I expect this to be a shootout, but the Packers will outlast the Giants and advance to the NFC Championship game.
