Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy was a visitor on The Dan Patrick Show this morning and he had some interesting things to say regarding one, you guessed it, Tim Tebow.
“Left-handed guy. Same offense. Mobile quarterback,” said Dungy. “As much as Mike (Vick) has been hurt, if you’re Andy Reid, you probably have to look at it, and think about it.”
Dungy, you’ll recall, was instrumental in bringing quarterback Michael Vick to Philadelphia. Andy Reid relied heavily on his friend’s input before opting to take a chance on Vick. With Tuesday’s comments it appears that Dungy would certainly advise Reid to take another gamble at quarterback with Tebow.
NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi reports that five teams have inquired about Tebow’s availability, so it’s fair to wonder at this point if the Eagles are one of those teams.
One thing is certain–Dungy believes the Eagles better be.
