Eagles-Cowboys Gambling Preview: Expect Eagles To Fight, But Fall Short

Trying to figure out the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles has been a nearly impossible task in 2012. Both teams have left bettors with empty pockets in situations when each appeared to be a slam dunk. Still, I don’t know in what universe the Cowboys deserve to be a double-digit favorite, even at home, against a divisional opponent. The Eagles are a disgrace of a football team and have appeared to pack it in for the season, you know, given that they’ve lost seven-straight games.

But the Cowboys are a bad football team, one that consistently falls flat out on their faces against what is thought to be inferior talent. Even with their struggles, the Eagles seem to be moving away from underachieving veterans to motivated young players that are looking to make names for themselves. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are looking to grab a primetime win which would keep their faint playoff hopes alive.

Honestly, you have issues if you plan to wager money on either of these teams at this point. Dallas is likely to win. In fact, it may be their most embarrassing loss to date if they don’t. But if the Eagles continue to feed Bryce Brown (and he holds onto the football), this is a game that the visitors can make close.
