Eagles Getting Political With Vick? Get Real.

With the latest reports that Michael Vick has yet again failed an ImPACT test, it’s become clear that he will miss his third straight game when the Eagles visit the Cowboys this week.

It’s not a surprise that Nick Foles will start, but with rumors circulating that Vick may not suit up again this season it appears the quarterback is getting suspicious regarding his treatment.

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Vick believes that he’s being pushed into the background because of politics.

Frankly, Vick may be upset because he has yet to return to action, but this isn’t about politics. It’s about logic. Vick hasn’t passed a concussion test–a test that has no agenda and certainly isn’t worried about the inner-workings of the Eagles organization. Furthermore, even if Vick was indeed healthy, it’s in no way advantageous for the Eagles to play Vick unless the front office has spoken with potential coaching replacements who believe Vick could run their offenses in 2013. And that’s a stretch.
