Hey, I know it’s early February, the weather isn’t great, there isn’t a ton to look forward to, and that the overall outlook of Philly sports is gloomy at best. But I wanted to do something to warm your heart this morning–take you back to the good old days. You know, the days when the Eagles were good enough to get near the top, but not good enough to seal the deal. The days when the team’s best receiver played on a broken ankle, its quarterback situation was stable, and it possessed a defense that could actually stop an opponent. Seems like a long time ago, doesn’t it? So let’s go back in time and see what things looked like on February 6, 2005.
Oh, right. I forgot about the two brutal early interceptions and the mind numbingly slow and methodical pace at which the Eagles offense moved as they tried to mount a comeback. Guess that didn’t cheer you up, did it?
