A little bit of news has surfaced this week. We found some interesting quotes from members of the team and media. Also, be sure to check out the Eagles players playing some hoops.

Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmer had some very high praise for rookie offensive tackle Lane Johnson during a press conference for PhiladelphiaEagles.com.

One key quote from the interview was when Shurmer touched on Johnson’s transition to the Eagles’ system.

Lane’s done outstanding. He’s played a lot of different positions but he’s an outstanding athlete and he’s really taken to our new system really well. He was involved in a no huddle based system in college so he has some familiarity with how we function. It’s just a matter of him learning what we call the plays.

A video was just released of some Eagles players participating in a basketball game. Brandon Boykin has some major ups.

Geoff Mosher of Sporting News had a very interesting quote about Chip Kelly earlier this week.

[Chip] Kelly could be the next Bill Walsh — or the next Steve Spurrier. The Eagles, who have never won a Super Bowl, are willing to take that risk to find out.
