There will be a bit of a lull in Philadelphia Eagles related news until later in July when training camp opens. However, that does not stop the NFL media from getting every piece of information possible out of the organization.
In a recent interview on PhiladelphiaEagles.com, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmer had some particularly nice praise for rookie quarterback Matt Barkley.
You try to project in college what he’s going to do in our game. Here’s a guy [Barkley] who threw for over 10,000 yards, helped his team win many games. He really did all the things playing quarterback that you need to see at this level.
He’s taken to our training extremely well. A lot of the way we communicate is very different to how he did in college, but he’s been to do very nicely here in the first few weeks.
Be sure to stay up to date on the Eagles over training camp by visiting the team in person for a practice. The Eagles official website has all of the information you will need about obtaining free Eagles training camp tickets.

Quarterback Dennis Dixon was interviewed by the Eagles official website recently about Chip Kelly’s offense and the quarterback battle between Michael Vick and Nick Foles. Dixon had this to say about the competition thus far.
I think everybody is getting the best out of everybody. The challenge is to put the team in the best situation possible. I think those two [Vick and Foles] are doing very good at a very high level and that’s exactly what Chip Kelly wants. Whoever is in there, has got to be able to accept the challenge as well.
